| Why talk about "Mama Guilt," you ask? Because I think it’s good to share our Mama Guilt so we know we are not alone. We all struggle in this wonderful, chaotic, ever challenging thing called motherhood!

| William had a bad day yesterday. He was upset about everything it seemed. This kid has had a temper since he was 9 months old. First of all he is biting again I thought this left us a year ago but now he's biting to draw blood and bruising and I am afraid of him playing with other kids. I have told him no... I have popped his leg, pinched, had him bite himself, put him in time out, I put my teeth on him... he just laughs. The only thing that gets his attention is crying. James got sick at work yesterday and we had to go get him. William was screaming as we were putting his clothes on him I mean just fighting everything. Then he was screaming from the moment we put him in the car seat. He even scratched himself and he was trying to get out of the car seat. Nothing was soothing to him. He was freaking and and screamed for 30 minutes and was hyperventilating. I am really concerned that the pediatrician should be more concerned that this is more than terrible 2's. Mixed with that and the anxiety its so hard on me. He had another fit at the babysitter. I don't understand why he gets upset there. Its his best friends mom. If I am there they play fine its when I leave that he spazzes. I have been there done that with the terrible twos but its usually not this bad with the other children. I just want someone to say no I am not crazy he definitely has symptoms or ask me if I am actually looking for him to be on the spectrum. The way the new therapist was telling us the part of the brain that controls speech can be delayed totally or it can just be impaired and that's why its harder to dx PDD NOS or Aspergers because they aren't always openly delayed. William talks but I think its not up to par but I don't remember how much a 2.5 year old should be talking and Skylar was SERIOUSLY delayed in talking so I can't compare. What do you guys think? | |
